To fix burned out lights you have to remove the wood cover around the shifter. That can be the most difficult part, especially if you don't want to chip or crack your nice wood piece. Once the wood is up you can get the the light bulbs BUT you have to know where they are.

Starting in the U.S. model year 1986, the headlights were changed on the W126 models. You could no longer just unscrew some plastic knobs to get the headlight door (plastic surround) off. This new style plastic door became the cover for the fog light as well.

Anytime you need to replace the side marker turn signal lens or the bulb inside you will need to remove it from the front fender. You will also need to remove it if you plan on pulling the full headlight assembly.
Replace those old stripped and hard to twist knobs with new!
These are about as mint as you will find not being new. They are not perfect as they have some dirt on them and a very few fine sand pits in the lenses that you can hardly see. No chips, cracks, or gouges in either the head lights or the turn signal lenses. All mounting tabs are intact.
This is a good set if you have the other parts to complete the installation. The chrome is excellent. the light bulb holders and lenses are excellent. One small dent in the left housing as you can see. The long bolts are missing. One stud is broken off.

This driver side tail light is the best we have seen. No crazing, fading or cranks in the lense and the chrome is excellent. No rubber seal included.
VERY good original condition of original but the plug on the end of the wire has been cut off. You will need to spice in or adapt your wiring plug.

Front turn signals not working due to a faulty bulb socket holder is a common problem with the W116 chassis sedans. I believe is due to a minor design flaw in the metal part of the holder. If you own a W116 I recommend you fix it now before a front turn signal stops working.
Good holder used with solid contacts. Fits all 123 Wagons, gasoline and diesel models, from 1979-1985. Due to the older age of these wagons many of these bulb holders have rusted and do not make proper electrical contact anymore with the taillight bulbs.
Above-average nice DRIVER side front marker turn signal lense. Would be pristine except for a very fine line 3/4 inch crack in the lens ( you might be able to see it in the picture. Check the backside. Clips are not broken. Does come with a bulb holder.
