Sagging rear end on 1986 300SDL ??

I realize that rear ends tend to sag with age, but there are relatively simple operations for that problem. With my 300SDL, it seems to be a more difficult problem. I continue to sag even after replacing my differential mount and having OK shocks on the back (i didn't change them, but they only bounce once after compression.) Should i replace them anyway (they probably have not been replaced in a while)? or are there other common wear parts that i have neglected to replace? I would really like to see tops of my rear tires.....Thanks for the help.

1985 300SD Burglar Alarm problem

How do I disconnect, turn off, or otherwise disable the burglar alarm in my 1985 300SD ? I had to go through deep water (8"+) at slow speed. Shortly thereafter, when I turn on the lights at all, the burglar alarm goes off and lights flash. This is embarrassing, at the least, to drive at night, so presently I have just parked it in the garage until I can solve it. I tried the driver door key lock/unlock - no difference. After setting over a week in my garage to dry out completely - no difference. I live in rural N.W. Indiana and there is really no need for the burglar alarm.
