HELP!!! 82 300SD Oil Pressure

I need some help in a bad way. I have a 300SD and the oil pressure gage is doing strange things. Once the car warms up and I am under power, say more that 1500 rpms the oil pressure gage will just drop to zero. If I let off the throttle and slow the car down the gage then will immediately peg to 3 then come down to between 1 1/2 and 2 at idle like it should. I only have this problem once the car warms up and when the gage drops from 3 to zero it is like someone just flips a switch and then also the gage will just jump around sometimes. My question is do I have the oil pressure sender failing or is my oil pump failing?

clunk clunk when tranny downshifts when not under load

I have an 81 300sd with 334,000 on it. Have changed the flex plates and recently had the driver's side rear wheel bearing looked at because i was experiencing a clunk when i put the car in reverse. The mechanic said the bearing was going, but tightened it up and now the clunk is better ( a temp. fix... part is on the way...) but i have been noticing a 2 stage clunk when i accelerate after the car warms up. if i depress the accelerator quickly and let up quickly it clunks on the depression and release, also when the tranny downshifts when there is no load on the drive line, like when i am coming to a stop going up hill. any clues?

WVO-Which types are best?...

In my limited experience with WVO I have encountered several kinds and types out there, It seems that it is universal knowledge to stick with what originally was 100% pure oil of some kind and to stay away from the hydrogenated stuff. My question goes further... I like to know what are the better WVOs? and what kind of WVOs to avoid?. Maybe on a "TOP 10" format. Corn, Soybean, Rice, Cottonseed, Canola, Peanut, Palmoil, etc, etc, etc. If there is any written information about this please refer, this will help all current and future lipid users.

Warm weather WVO

I live in Guam where the ambient air temperature is never lower than 70 degrees. Usually, the lows are around 78, and the highs around 88 to 90.

I intend to convert my 1983 300SD, 126 chassis with 5 cyl turbo to burn WVO. Am I safe to not pre-heat the WVO? I'm thinking that since the outside air temperature never gets lower than 70 degrees, I shouldn't even concern myself with the flow of the fuel.

1984 300sd ball joints replacement

Hi, I just bought a 1984 300sd w126 and the mechanics told me I have to replace the front ball joints... Since I have repaired the sunroof of my car thanks to mercedessource, I was wondering if I can replace myself the front ball joints. In this case, which kit do I need from mercedessource? I found a front arm bushing replacement kit and manual but I don't know if it s what I need... At low speed, I get some clunking especially when I drive over bumps... Thanks Erwan

420SEL - runs bad and at a loss

Okay, here's my trouble...I bought an old 1988 420 sel as a restoration project and spent over a year patching up and polishing the job. After a new suspension, new rims and tires, transmission repair, paint job, tune-up, and custom parts installation, I thought I was doing pretty good. In fact, the car looked sharp and I was well-pleased with the results. However, last year I drove to Myrtle Beach (from central Kentucky) and back.
