Use this special swedge fittings when making any type of copper coil coolant heater for our SVO WVO fuel system. One end of this fitting clamps down tight on the copper pipe and the other end can accept any standard fitting with 1/4 inch male national pipe thread.

This can be installed in your W116 W126 W201 W124 diesel in 60 to 90 minutes. You will use the video instructions for installing it in a W123 (included), then you will make location modifications to fit your specific chassis.
Why would you need to remove a fuel tank? If it is heavily rusted or contaminated sometimes it is just easier to find a good used fuel tank and replace it. Trying to clean a heavily gummed up fuel tank is a real challenge.

Glow plugs do not last forever. I have found they generally need to be replaced about every 2 years for peak performance.
