If you have a W116 or W126 300SD or a turbo 1981 to 1985 5 cylinder W123 Diesel you must pay attention to your oil cooler hoses. If one of these hoses fail you will destroy the engine unless you are in the habit of looking at your oil pressure gauge every 5 minutes while driving.

This is not a normal nut. On the face it has a special hard plastic nylon seal. When this seal deteriorates you may see evidence of power steering fluid seeping out of the bottom the the adjustment locknut (located on the top of the steering box).

This is a very handy smaller torque wrench to have in your toolbox. Perfect for spark plugs. It will do fuel injectors but is not quite big enough to torque wheel lug bolts. Range is 5 to 80-foot pounds. The case will be black rather than red.

Replace those nuts that keep loosening up with nylock metric nuts that just won't come off. Inside the door panel on the window regulators. Around the engine compartment. Air filter housing nuts. etc. etc.
Excellent used flywheel. Has good gear teeth for starter motor.
If you already have or are willing to buy a 5 pound slide hammer this special threaded fitting will allow you to PULL the pre-chamber from the cylinder head once you have removed the collar nut and the glow plug ( a collar nut removal tool is required look below to learn more).
Good used ring for flywheel bolts as shown. These often get damaged with you have to cut one of your flywheel bolt heads off.

I have used a lot of different clamping tools over the years to prevent fluids from leaking out when removing coolant, fuel, or brake fluid hoses. Most work ok. Some are hard to use in tight places. Many do not stop every last drip from coming out of the hose.

This set of 5 pick tools have very thin and sharp points. Best set Kent has found to remove orings in hard to get to locations. The variety of angles available allows you to get into almost anywhere to remove and o-ring, sealing ring or other small part.
This set of special tools is designed to help speed the removal and ease the overhaul of a Garrett T-3 turbocharger on a 617 turbo diesel engine.
If you are going to work on your diesel fuel injectors, you are going to need a torque wrench. If you are going to tighten your alloy wheel lug bolts properly, you should use a torque wrench. In fact, if you do your own work, you should have a 1/2-inch clicker torque wrench in your toolbox.
Works on 110, 115, 116, 123, 201, 126 and 124 diesel engines 200D 220D 240D 300D 300CD 300TD 300SD 190D 300SDL. We have found that over half of the deep sockets we test will not go over some of the longer injectors.
Maintenance Alert: We have had lots of reports of these bolts loosening up! They WILL shear off if not caught early enough. When that happens the pulley will fall off. At high speed this can lead to engine overhead and even a damaged radiator.
