Even though these were working when removed, I have no way of knowing how long they will work. The fittings, rubber mounts, and hoses will be fine. The accumulators are probably a recent replacement, but there is NO Warrantee on the struts, and I have priced these parts accordingly.
Every one of these pumps I have ever seen needs resealing. The seals and o-rings become just too hard over all those years of use. This is the most complete SLS (self-leveling suspension) pump overhaul kit on the market today.
This pump is in above-average condition. has been taken apart, inspected for wear, cleaned and resealed completely with new internal o-rings, new shaft seal, and new cover o-ring.

This is the most thorough kit available anywhere in the world for opening up and resealing your early style (square ) SLS leveling valve. This was used on all W123 300TD wagons and a few other models during that same time period.
Why these special tools? Can't you just adjust that rod with a couple of combination open end wrenches. Maybe yes and no... have you tried it? You can not get the rod off with a regular thickness 10 mm open end wrench.
When changing your hydraulic fluid be sure to change this filter. Located under the cap on your hydraulic reservoir tank. Easy to replace. Fits all 300TD wagons from 1979 to 1985.
If you have any Mercedes model with hydraulic self leveling suspension from the early 70's up to the early 1990's this is the correct fluid to use. High quality Meyle or Febi Bilstein product. Any other type of fluid can damage the seals and score your pump.
Dont neglect this service as many do! I recommend the hydraulic fluid and filter be changed every 30,000 miles. You would not believe how many SLS vehicles I have seen with dirty hydraulic fluid - I mean nasty! Sometimes I have even found engine oil in the system!

Brand new Genuine Part. Plastic ball sockets can deteriorate and threads can rust up. It is important you have a good operating rod and tight arm in order to properly adjust your rear end ride height. NO instructions included. See our manual on SLS troubleshooting for more information.

Brand new high quality Corteco accumulator set for self leveling suspension SLS. If you suddenly have a harsh abrupt ride then this is usually the culprit. Two per car and should be replaced in pairs.

PLEASE NOTE: These are not complete instructions on how to open up an early style SLS pump and properly reseal it. Rather, these are some tips that will make the job go faster and easier. These are things Kent has learned rebuilding a number of these pumps himself.

Very hard to find in good condition. This came off an 85 wagon with a trap oxidizer, air filter mounted off the engine behind the right headlight, and fluid tank for the SLS mounted on the left side of the engine compartment. The hoses are longer than the standard 1981 to 1984 turbo wagons.
This is the part that more often than not gets lost when the SLS pump is removed from an engine for a long period of time. If you are trying to return the system to original after someone has removed the pump you most likely will need this part.

Indications that your seal needs replacing are tears in the lip and no resistance when you close your trunk. If you trunk snaps shut too easily it means the seal has collapsed and is no longer sealing properly.
Loose steering or wheels shaking at speed. This can often be worn out tie rod ball joints. The joints can be replaced as a DIY project. Watch the video below to see if this is something you want to take on yourself.
