This 33 minute video will instruct you on how to replace the fuel injectors in your 8-cylinder M116 engine safely and efficiently. This is a fairly straightforward job, but there are some pitfalls you will want to avoid.
This 16-minute video will instruct you on how to replace the fuel injectors in your 6 cylinder M110 safely and efficiently. Since this is a fairly straight forward remove and replace this is not a step-by-step video.
This is every thing you need along with free video instructions by Kent Bergsma. Why change the K-jet fuel injectors in your M110 engine. One thing is they are very old. Second this is right now they are readily available and resonably inexpensive.
380 engines tend to run hot. As long as it is not too hot it won't hurt the engine but that extra heat is not kind to rubber and plastic parts.
We modify this wrench right here in our shop. If a picture is worth a thousand words, what is a video work. Watch the following for a full explanation.
Why change K-jet injectors when "they are working?" Why change shocks when they feel ike "they are working." The deteration is very slow over time and you may not notice the difference in how the engine starts, runs, accelerates, and delivers mileage until you do this service!
Upgraded top seals for better and longer-lasting sealing properties and well as standard green seals for the bottom of the injector holder. With these seals you can clean and reuse your existing fuel injector holders / sleeves.
Damage to these is becomming more common as they engines age. If your fuel injectors are not firing fuel properly the ends of the prechambers cac burn right off causing all sorts of "weird" engine performance problems.
International shipping surcharge to be applied towards shipping cost
FREE steel liner included as shown. Brand new old stock. Size on top of piston is 91.47
Very good used cast iron exhaust manifold as shown. Has been painted but please do not expect paint to hold up to heat over time.
This is a high-quality ACM aftermarket part. The fan runs smooth and air movement is very strong.
RUST FREE fuel pump bracket as shown with new rubber mounts and nuts included. This one could be plated or painted for show quality as it is not pitted.
Contamintion in the window washer fluid tank is one of the main reasons the spray nozzles get plugged up. Install this little fitler somewhere in the line between the pump and the nozzles on the hood and secure with zip ties.
The sunroof transmission drive unit moves the cable back and forth to open and close the sunroof. There are 5 gears inside this unit that transfer the incoming drive from the motor ( high speed) to the final drive moving the cable (slow speed).
In part one Kent will show you how to get all the sunroof parts off our old Mercedes and on a bench particularly if you sunroof is broken and not moving. In this 21 minute instructional video here is a list of the subjects he covers:
This is a critical replacement part. If it lets loose at high speed it can damage your transmission and drive line. Just replace if over 20 years old! Bolts not included. Plan to use your old ones.
Is your old gas engine running a little rough? There could be lots of reasons for this but if you have good compression, good plugs and wires you might consider replacing your O2 sensor even if your warning light is not showing up. This is an easy DIY job.
This is a part that hardly ever gets changed, and it is an easy DIY job if you can access it under your Benz. Make sure your model fits those described and has an O2 sensor installed. You can confirm that by the existence of an o2 sensor warning light on your dash.
This fits all Mercedes V8 engines listed in the title from 1981 to 1991 including the sedans, the SL and SEC models. I compare fan clutches to shock absorbers. They wear out slowly over time and you don't feel or see the difference until you actually replace it with new.
In this 13 minute instructional video Kent will demonstrate how to remove an old fan clutch and replace it with a new one on a 1983 380SL This is a beginner D.I.Y. job and no special tools are required. This video is included free of charge with the purchase of our Later V8 fan clutch kit.
These are very high quality bolts. Same 8mm thread and small 10mm head as the originals. 8 is enough for two front seats.
This is a sample of the nut plate they go into on the back attach point on the W123 front seats.
This video only applies to our injector pressure tester. Kent will show you how to attach the capture bottle and fittings to your older Version 1 or Version 2 pressure tester. Video is free with purchase of the conversion kit.
We also carry this in other sizes. See related products below.
Fits chassis models W114 W115 W116 R107(except 500SL and 560SL)W123 (do NOT FIT WAGONS) and W126 ( except 500 series 500SEL, 560SEL, 560SEC) from 1972 to 1991.
You can purchase these individually, but you might want to consider replacing all four at the same time. If one is broken others are not far behind. Watch Kent's video below to see what happened to him and why he decided to manufacture these himself.
This custom-made thin head wrench by Kent Bergsma can save the day and your pocketbook. It is very important that you hold the fitting base on the oil cooler when removing the oil cooler hoses. A regular 22mm wrench is almost always too thick and can also cause damage.
In this detailed 30-minute video Kent will walk you through the process of installing new tie rod ends on his 1959 Mercedes 220SE. The principles are the same on almost all models from the 1950s up to the 1990s. He will explain the differences in adjustment between the older and newer styles
Loose steering or wheels shaking at speed. This can often be worn out tie rod ball joints. The joints can be replaced as a DIY project. Watch the video below to see if this is something you want to take on yourself.
This kit includes:
This is a good passenger side right license plate lights as shown. The chrome is very bright. The light bulb holder and lense are in good condtion. Email us if you need the wiring harness.
Good condition as shown.
These have been inspected for good hex heads and for abnormal thread stretch. Threads will need cleaning before installation. Always use liberal blue thread locker when installing.
You would be amazed at how much fuel can leak out of a fuel hose when you disconnect it from your tank or engine. This is an easy way to prevent messy spills.
This is a great solution to what is sometimes a nagging problem. This heavy duty and flexible and adjustable plastic spacer can be put on the top or bottom radiator to prevent chafing in and area where it might come in contact the the engine or the radiator.
Why is this so important? It is primarily due to the age of these cars now and the fact that lurking problems can be hidden from visual inspection. There is not ONE diesel that Kent has looked at in the last five years that does not need this service! Even ones with under 150,000 original miles.
Kent opened this up to make sure the diaphragm was in good condtion. Check valves appear to be almost new with no oil contamination, so we suspect this is a low time pump or had a kit installed when they were available.
Kent delivers a very detailed 24 minute video on understanding how this valve works and how to fix it if possible. You will learn how to recognize a valve that is just too worn out to repair. No bleeder valve repair parts are available and there is not way to DIY fix one if it is badly damaged.
The VCV valve controls the critical shifting patterns of most diesel automatic transmissions from 1978 to 1985. This includes the 1978 to 1985 300SD, the 1980 to 1985 W123 300D, 300CD and 300TD and the 1980 to 1983 240D.
When “rebuilding” an old Bosch mechanical fuel injector, replacing the nozzle is usually enough get it working again at peak performance. But sometimes you will run into a fuel injector that just won't fire right nor product a correct fan spray pattern.

Planning to replace the head gaskets on your older v8 engine. You should have this tool on hand before you start. You don't think so? Watch the video and then decide.
If the front end of your W 114 or W115 sedan or coupe wanders on the road or thunks when you go over railroad tracks, you most likely need to install a new front subframe bushing kit. I see this condition even on real low mileage pristine cars.
Version 4 update 2/22: New color and style but still does the same job. This is one of the key tools you will need to remove stubborn pre chambers from the cylinder head of your old diesel engine.
These are not Mercedes specific although some will work well in certain places on older Benz. This is a general purpose assortment that can be used on many vehicles. Handy to have in your garage.
This replacement part that we make here in our own shop is built stronger with a solid core pin so it will not break off like the originals ( See 560SL wood below for reference ). The original is only stapled on and is prone to fall off with age.
Very good right lens as shown. Outer plastic lens only. No breaks, lines, or crazing.
