How to determine if the engine noise is external or internal

Diesel engines make noise. Some ticking and rattling is normal and not something you should be concerned about. Certain loud knocking or rattling noises could be a sign that something bad is happening to the engine, especially if the noise comes on suddenly.

The correct special tools are required to do this job without damage.

40 Piece Silicone End Cap and Plug Set - Amazing Uses!

Push them over a hose and they act like a sealing end cap. Turn them around and push into a hole to act as a plug. Cut in half - use one piece for a splice between hoses.

We starting using some of these to plug brake lines while changing out calipers. Then we started using them on fuel and oil hoses. Now we are using them all over the place and keep finding new uses for them on a monthly basis. These are a MUST HAVE! Watch the video below to become a believer!

Early 6 Cylinder Spark Plug Replacement Kit w/ Special Tools

For all 6 cylinder gas engines from 1966 to 1973 - 230 - 250 - 280 engines both carbureted and fuel injected.

Do not let anyone convince you to install some super platinum, iridium or kryptonite spark plug in your old Benz. They are just not capable of handling the richer fuel mixtures associated with these older engines.

Diesel Compression Tester Replacement Sealing Washers

You will need extras if you plan to do multiple compression tests

When doing a compression test you must properly seal the inner surface of the pre-chamber with the fuel injector hole adapter. Copper washers work the best for this to ensure a 100 percent seal. Do not use the engine's heat shield washers.

Low Pressure Power Steering Hose for Older Models - 24 inch long x 15mm I.D.

Only works on models listed below or in other applications using 15mm hose. Measure first.

This is the hose on the left side of your engine that seems to always rot and leak power steering fluid. If you look closely at it you will most likely see small cracks in the hose. This is the larger size hose used on those early models with power steering from the early 1960's through 1976.
