Removing a Mercedes instrument cluster from any of the chassis listed is easy with these special dash pull tools. Many owners do not realize that the instrument cluster is just pushed into the dash panel and not held in with any bolts or screws.

For all 108, 109, 114, 115, 107, 116, 123, 126, 201, and 124 chassis from 1965 to 1995. I wrote this repair guide to show you how to properly remove your instrument cluster and replace worn or failing components. (NOTE: This is not a detailed manual on how to repair the components.

Excellent. One of the better ones we have seen. Good used SOFT RUBBER intact rubber instrument cluster hold-in gasket. This is what holds the cluster tightly in place on the dash. These often get damaged, and the cluster housing won't stay in the dash.

You will need to remove the W126 chassis center console upper wood panel when replacing the climate control switch panel, replacing any of the upper switches, replacing burned out light bulbs and /or when remove the center console or the upper dash.

There are two main reasons to install instrument cluster LED light bulbs. They give off more light to the instruments and then run a lot cooler. We offer them for the W124 in bright white and amber. If you can not decide on which color see the images below for a side-by-side comparison.
If both dash lights are not working including the lights in the upper center console the problem is most likely in the dimmer switch located on the back of the instrument cluster. This is also called the potentiometer providing variable resistance in the wiring to the bulbs.
The driver's side W124 under dash panel can be a little tricky to remove due to all the hidden fasteners. Without knowing where these are and how to get to them, removal can be frustrating and it is easy to break the plastic covers.
These instructions pertain only to the multi pin plug switch on the back of the ignition lock and key assembly.

The long bulb is 1 and 3/4 inches long, and the short bulb is 1 and 1/2 inches long. These bulbs don't necessarily fit all models. Some applications require smaller bulbs, and please measure your bulbs before ordering this 6-pak.

Car alarms have their place, but on 20 year and older cars Kent is not so sure... When they get that old they can get very tempermental and will usually go off when you least expect it and in places that can cause great embarrassment.

If you've ever remove the oil pressure line from the back of the ancient instrument on a W123, you already know how frustrating it can be. The big problem is you can't see behind the cluster while you're trying to get the wrench in there to work the nut.

Good used dash light sockets with 3 new bulbs as shown. The sockets are in good working condition. If your sockets are loose in the hole, bent or burnt, this is a good opportunity to replace them with a couple of good used factory original bulb holders.

This is one of the nicest wood pieces I have seen of late. The panel is not warped and no cracks or crazing in the wood veneer or finish. PLease note: No plastic backing plate. You will have to install on your plastic pieced.
If your fuel level gauge is not reading accurately or the needle jumps around and or your car’s low fuel warning light does not comes on, it is usually a problem with the tubular sending unit in the fuel tank.
