This video will show you how to remove the front crank seal race using the factory tool and using Kent's custom puller. It will also demonstrate a very easy way to install a new replacement race before installing a new seal.
Kent modified this puller and developed a procedure to remove the front crank seal race so the job could be affordable from the DIY mechanic. This costs less than half the cost of the factory tool.

If you have worked on 5-cylinder 617 turbo diesel cylinder heads before you already know how important it is to have the correct socket for the "triple square" cylinder head bolts. This socket is a must to properly remove and re-torque those bolts.

Good used working EGR valve. HARD TO FIND. The valve opens and closes appropriately and holds a STRONG vacuum. Hard to find. Failure of this unit can cause excess smoke, poor idle, and/or rough shifting. Easy to replace. NO LONGER AVAILABLE NEW.
Keeping your throttle linkage ball sockets and pivot points lubricated extends the life of the parts and maintains top performance for the engine as well as some of the later transmissions.

For a number of maintenance operations, you need to be able to turn the engine over by hand. This includes valve adjustment, timing chain replacement, injection pump timing on diesel engines, checking and setting internal engine timing, draining the torque converter, and others.
This is the part that more often than not gets lost when the SLS pump is removed from an engine for a long period of time. If you are trying to return the system to original after someone has removed the pump you most likely will need this part.

This is a BIG problem! Failure to fix it can shorten engine life by allowing dirt to enter the combustion chambers thus damaging the piston rings which lead to low compression, poor fuel economy, hard starting, high oil consumption and loss of power.

Excellent used functioning engine shock with an acceptable rubber mount. The rubber mount is very solid, and it is still stiff and intact. This fits the right or left side of the engine on the 123 5-cylinder turbo diesel engines only. The two lower rubbers with washer and nut are NOT included.
Connect this small filter with attached hoses to the back of the injection pump and to the brown plastic vacuum line going to your ignition switch under the dash. The filter will do two things. 1. Help to trap oil coming out of a leaking shutoff valve before it gets to your ignition switch. 2.

When an engine is both overheating and losing coolant, you first want to exhaust all possibilities that the cause is something simple or inexpensive to repair. It is possible it might just be a stuck thermostat with a faulty water pump leaking coolant at the same time.
