Kit contains right and left tie rod assemblies as shown. We have found if you discover one or more loose tie rod ball joints, it is always better to replace both rod assemblies at the same time. Entire assemblies are about the same price as two individual ball joints.
These transmissions are now 40+ years old, and with age comes hardened o-rings and seals, leading to what I call "pesky" leaks. They are not bad enough to flow on the ground, but they do leave wetness around the transmission and drips on the garage floor.
Most 1988 to 1993 6 cylinder CIS fuel injection delivery (FID) systems are old and tired and have not been properly maintained. These include the W201 190E 2.6, the W124 260E 300E, 300CE, 300TE, the W126 300SE, and 300SEL, and the R129 300SL.
These will fit all 1976 to 1991 4.5, 3.8, 5.0 and 5.6-liter V8 engines with Bosch C.I.S fuel injection. PLEASE NOTE: These spark plugs have an aluminum end cap that does screw off. You will receive the plugs with the end cap installed.

This is a "must-have" kit when adjusting release "pop" pressures on older diesel mechanical fuel injectors. It is the internal spring "shim" thickness that determines the exact pressure required for the release of fuel at the tip of the injector.

If you have a Mercedes of this era equipped with an impulse code reader you will find a little numbered black box similar to the one in the pictured here in your engine compartment. It is located over by the battery and may have a black cover on it that can be lifted off.

If your fuel gauge stops working or is not reading accurately, many times it can be repaired by removing it from the fuel tank, taking it apart and giving it a good internal cleaning of the contact points, float shaft, and wires.
If you are having problems with a sticking key a new tumbler a new tumbler and key may or may not fix your problem.

DO NOT ORDER UNTIL YOU REMOVE ONE INJECTOR IN YOUR ENGINE AND INSPECT THE HOLE. Sometime in 1974, Mercedes changed the way these injectors were sealed into the head to prevent air leaks. A "YELLOWISH" nylon sleeve was added along with two seals on the lower end of the fuel injector.
This DIY job is very important for a number of reasons. Changing the fluid and the filter every 40k to 50k will extend the life of your power steering pump and steering rack. Changing out the reservoir will allow you to replace the seal between the tank and the pump.
Kent jokingly mentions this has become a late W123 epidemic! You see this problem happening on all late model 240D, 300D, 300CD, and 300TD wagons.

If you own a 1998 to 2006 Mercedes with a V6 (M112) or a V8 (M113) engine this is one job you will have to deal with at some point. Just pull the top cover off your engine and look.
This is the bolt that goes into the motor mount arm from underneath the car. It is easy to round one of these out when removing. This is a good used bolt with a good undamaged head. You are buying just one bolt. If you need two change the quantity in the shopping cart if you need two bolts.

When replacing the steering lock assembly in your Benz you will need to remove that little black plastic switch on the side of the lock from the old one and put it on the new part. You can not pry it off, squeeze it off or pull it off by hand.
One of the cheapest ways to fix your worn out W140 blower motor is to replace just the motor. You do not have to replace the entire unit. BUT repairing it this way is not as easy as it may appear!

This is one of the most often neglected services I see on the M272 engine. Even at 100,000 miles, you often see the tank has never been changed, and you can recognize that by looking to see if there is a factory crimp hose clamp still in place on the fluid return hose at the bottom of the tank.

The wiring plug covers must be removed with a special tool in order to install these boots. The old covers will break when you try to remove them. We recommend you buy new wiring covers when replacing either my aftermarket custom-made silicone boots or the original rubber boots.
