Unless the engine has been overhauled most of these old 6 cylinder gas engines of the '60s and very early '70s are running around with their original front crank seal. Take a look under your car if you have one - I bet it will look a lot like the engine in the video below.
Fits 107 115 116 123 and 126 Chassis. This "must have" kit will help you replace the rubber flexible brake hoses on your older Mercedes from the late 60s up through the late 80s.
This is a very critical and very neglected filter located inside the fuel tank.
FITS ALL 115 220D 240D 300D and 123 240D 300CD 300D 300TD with NON TURBO engines. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT MERCEDESSOURCE MAINTENANCE ALERT! In previous years I have had a number of Mercedes diesels come in to my shop with severe damage due to total drive line flex disk failure.

I call this the hidden and forgotten bushing. Why? Because you can not see it to inspect it, it hardly ever gets changed. When these bushings wear out you will feel "weird" movement in your rear end, especially going over rough ground.
Fits 115 and 123 220D and 240D with 4 speed manual transmission. If your shifter feels loose or spongy or even clanks when you shift it is time for new bushings. There are six total.
All 124 Chassis sedans, coupes and wagons from 1986 to 1995. Here is how to fix those intermittent dash lights. This kit comes with a new dimmer switch for the dash light control (a bad dimmer is the biggest reason for dash lights not working).
I have been discovering this is one of those maintenance areas that suffers from severe neglect. Failure of the rubber support or center drive shaft bearing can cause all types of improperly diagnosed vibration problems - some commonly change with vehicle speed.
This is a part that hardly ever gets changed, and it is an easy DIY job if you can access it under your Benz. Make sure your model fits those described and has an O2 sensor installed. You can confirm that by the existence of an o2 sensor warning light on your dash.
Fits 116, 123 and 126 chassis diesel 1977 to 1985 only, including the 240D 300D 300CD 300TD 300SD. This kit should give you at least a years supply of fuel filters for your diesel.
If you have been around old Mercedes for any length of time, you have probably run into a problem with your ignition key starting to "stick" or one that does not turn. This problem can leave you stranded and could cost hundreds of dollars to fix $$$.

Keeping your throttle linkage ball sockets and pivot points lubricated extends the life of the parts and maintains top performance for the engine as well as some of the later transmissions.
If your fuel gauge stops working or is not reading accurately, many times it can be repaired by removing it from the fuel tank, taking it apart and giving it a good internal cleaning of the contact points, float shaft, and wires.
Fits all 123 chassis sedans, coupes and wagons from 1977 to 1985. This is the complete kit for the right passenger side front or rear door. It includes a new striker, four new Mercedes OE Allen bolts, special removal tool and instructions.
Watch the video below to understand what this kit can do. Kent used it on his 6.3, which had sat outside and had not run in 18 years. The 6.3 injection pump is rare, to say the least, and can be very expensive to overhaul. Treat it with great care!
If you are planning to install new glow plugs in your 601 engine, 190D from 1984-1986, it is essential that you ream the carbon out of the holes to prevent premature failure of your new plugs.
Watch the video below to understand what this kit can do. Ensure your injection pump is thoroughly cleaned and lubricated before starting the engine after long storage.

This is the best way to determine if the expensive injection pump is going to work for old 4 AND 5-cylinder diesel engines that have not run in years. Watch the video below to understand what this kit can do.
This is such a big problem on early 1977 to 1979 123 240D diesels that I decided a good replacement kit was in order. Often I find the main feed wire loose or frayed, the fuse box cracked or melted, and the fuse connector points corroded or loose.
Leaking fuel injector pumps have become a very common problem in the 60x. engines produced from the mid 1980s to the mid 1990s. The early 60x.
Power Hirschmann antennas are no longer available new. It is possible to remove and repair the old Hirschmanns if you are willing to dig in and spend time cleaning, adjusting, lubing, etc.

Are you mysteriously losing coolant? Having heater problems? Does your heater have a mind of its own. Then your 201 chassis vacuum controlled heater valve may be bad.
I can now offer a unique digital meter and several attachments in a convenient carrying case that I can grab and go with anytime. Are you tired of fussing with your standard meter straight-tip probes? I think they are worthless.
Kent has never seen fresh fuel hoses on all the old MFI Mercedes he has worked on over the years. They only seem to get changed when they start leaking. Leaking fuel hoses at the electric fuel pump is a fire hazard!
Do not let anyone convince you to install some super platinum, iridium or kryptonite spark plug in your old Benz. They are just not capable of handling the richer fuel mixtures associated with these older engines.

From my experience the only thing that goes wrong with the front seat back pockets is the top bungie cord that holds the net up wears out (loses its “spring”) and sags badly. When was the last time you saw a 1973 to early 1990's seat back netting that was NOT sagging???
This is one of the more common oil leaks I see on the 602 (5 cylinder) and 603 (6 cylinder) diesel engines. In fact, I have seen it on almost every one of these engines I have worked on.
This is a must-have if you have a prized Benz or any car you don't drive often!! If you let any of your cars sit for long periods ( generally over 30 days) without driving them, you can ruin your battery, especially if you let it go completely dead.

Distributor neglect is one of the most common neglected maintenance items that we see on the 6 cylinder 103 engine. Just because the engine is running ok does not mean that the parts are not worn out. One day you will get up in the morning and the engine will not start.
Fits 123 Chassis 300D, 300CD, and 300TD TURBO ONLY 1981 to 1985 and 116 and 126 300SD models 1978 to 1985 with 5 cylinder TURBO diesel engines. If your 5 cylinder turbo diesel has more than 200,000 miles on it without any major work, it most likely needs new valve stem seals.
