Do not let anyone convince you to install some super platinum, iridium or kryptonite spark plug in your SL V8. They are just not capable of handling the richer fuel mixtures associated with these older engines.
Kent takes you through the process of removing and installing the shock absorbers on your own R107. The video specifically shows the work being done on a 380SL. Other models may have slight variations but the basic principles are the same.
Socket is now black (impact grade). This is a tool that Kent first thought about making 20 years ago. While installing shock absorbers in his 380SL he had finally had enough - so it was back to the machine shop to come up with a new tool.
The R107 and C107 plastic shift bushings are very common parts that need to be replaced more often than not. Can you believe it is the exact same part that was used on all models for over 25 years! It is an inexpensive part that can cause big problems if it breaks out.

Kent has sourced 2 special Viton o-rings for the outer pump housing on these early djetronic Bosch electric fuel pumps. There are two orings that harden with age causing the pump to leak fuel at the outer end of the pump.
