Ever wish you could find a good way to lube the door hinges on your old Benz? Maybe you have seen that little fitting wondering what it is, or maybe you have heard there is a special grease gun that can inject grease into that fitting?
Kent has been working on this for a few years now. You know how much he likes lubrication. He wanted a deep, penetrating, and longer-lasting lube than what he was able to find on the market - and he has tried dozens.
If you own and maintain an older car (especially 15 years and older) you must be willing to take care of its lubrication needs or you may spend big money later in repairs.
Kent has been "into" lubrication since his younger years, flying and working on airplanes over 50 years ago.
Door hinge lubrication has to be one of the most neglected maintenance items on the older models. I think part of the problem stems from the fact owners don't know how to do it or don't know how to acquire the proper grease gun to lubricate those special fittings on the door hinges.
"I have heard some owners complain about the unreliability of those older Hirschmann power antennas. I would say that in at least 80 percent of the few hundred antennas I have taken apart that went bad - the reason was lack of lubrication!
Even Kent is amazed at how well this works and especially how he discovered it. It is a mix of two components (chemicals) that are super slippery and create a deep shine "new look" on old plastic and rubber trim parts. The included four oz.
Groaning, snaping and jammed door check straps are a common problem on the older models (up through 1995). This is primarily due to age and lack of lubrication. Newer models will soon start having similar problems. Rain water getting inside the doors is the big killer.
You can not believe how easy it is to move and adjust your old seat after lubrication the tracks with this amazing lubricant! You will receive two full tubes plus the extension nozzle. This is more than enough lube to do the seats with four tracks on each side.

Kent has sourced 2 special Viton o-rings for the outer pump housing on these early djetronic Bosch electric fuel pumps. There are two orings that harden with age causing the pump to leak fuel at the outer end of the pump.

The front and rear seals in both the manual and power sunroofs are the same, but the procedure to remove and replace the sunroof panel differs.

These early “short style” electric fuel pumps are very prone to leaking fuel because the rubber case o-ring seals harden with age. New pumps are no longer available and rebuilt are VERY expensive! If you risk buying a used one it will probably end up leaking or seeping fuel too.
