Distributor neglect is one of the most common neglected maintenance items that we see on the 6 cylinder 103 engine. Just because the engine is running ok does not mean that the parts are not worn out. One day you will get up in the morning and the engine will not start.

If you are planning to install new glow plugs in your 601 engine, 190D from 1984-1986, it is essential that you ream the carbon out of the holes to prevent premature failure of your new plugs.

Diesel idling too fast. Diesel idling too slow. Diesel shaking at idle. Transmission jerks with shifting from Park to Drive. These are some of the symptoms that might indicate your engine's idle speed is not adjusted correctly.

If you own a Mercedes with the M116 V8 engine (expect 1980 to 1982 380 engines with single low chains) timing chain failure can really ruin your day! If the engine it turning at high speed when this happens, it can destroy the engine.

This gasket set includes the complete valve cover rubber seals as well as the 12 rubber seals for the bolts. If you are going to change the valve cover gasket you will need to replace the bolt seals as well or you will regret it!
Oil filter changes are important, but I believe on these high interval oil change schedules that changing the oil fitler can be just as important! Use the wrong filter and the engine can suffer serious damage.
